NLCS Game 2 Predictions: 3 Player Props for Dodgers vs Brewers

Get all the info you need to make some money in the NLCS! Our top MLB insider shares his best player props for Game 2 between the Dodgers and the Brewers.

Andrew Elmquist

The Championship Series is officially here for MLB, and we’ve already had three awesome games go down. The Seattle Mariners have had their way with the Toronto Blue Jays thus far, going up 2-0 in the series, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are fresh off a thrilling victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.

The AL teams have a night off, but the Dodgers and Brewers are facing off for Game 2 tonight. We’ve put our favorite Underdog player props together for this one, so let’s get into it!

Yoshinobu Yamamoto OVER 6.5 Strikeouts

Blake Snell pitched a gem for the Dodgers last night, mowing down 10 Brewers batters during an eight-inning outing. He was masterful against a strong-hitting team, and we’re expecting more of the same from Yamamoto tonight.

Yamamoto was top-15 in the league in strikeouts during the regular season, and he flexed that muscle in his first postseason outing, achieving nine Ks against the Cincinnati Reds.

His second appearance wasn’t so strong against the Philadelphia Phillies, only managing two strikeouts before he was pulled, but we expect him to get back on the horse tonight and do what the Dodgers are paying him to do.

Freddy Peralta OVER 5.5 Strikeouts

We are expecting a pitcher’s duel in this one between Freddy Peralta and Yamamoto. Both are among the best pitchers in the league, which should make for prime entertainment for fans around the world.

Peralta was 9th in the league in Ks during the regular season, so similar to Yamamoto, his reputation precedes him.

He had 6+ strikeouts in both of his starts against the Chicago Cubs in the divisional round, so look for more of the same from him against the Dodgers, keeping this trend alive and well.

Shohei Ohtani OVER 1.5 Hits, Runs & RBI

Shohei Ohtani’s postseason hasn’t been as dominant as the Dodgers had hoped for, garnering just four hits in 29 at-bats. He hasn’t had a hit since October 6th against the Phillies, and if anyone was in for a big hitting night this evening, it would be him.

A player like Ohtani can’t be held down for too long, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he had a multi-hit game tonight, perhaps even hitting a home run.

With that in mind, we’re taking the over on his HRR line, believing he’s due and will live up to the sky-high expectations.
