Happy Monday, sports betting family! The weekend was nice for us on the MLB side of things. We went 4-2 to run our record to 77-62 on player props this season. Friday was pretty nice at 3-2, and Saturday was good as well at 1-0, with the Braves and Phillies easily staying under the posted total for the full game.
June has been good to us so far with a record of 39-29, so let's finish the month off on a high note. We have two player props and a best bet ready for Monday, June 30. Best of luck, my friends.
CIN at BOS - 7:10 PM EDT
This is more juice than I'd like to pay, but we won't be able to capitalize on Mr. Burns at a 5.5 line for very long. For full disclosure, I'm going to ladder Burns all the up to 10 Ks today for a small sprinkle on 7,8,9, and 10.
Burns is the best Reds prospect to come along since Elly De La Cruz, and he lived up to the hype in his 1st outing against the Yankees by striking out 8 hitters. He draws a fantastic matchup against the free-swinging Red Sox today, who have the 2nd-highest K-rate in baseball over the last 2 weeks.
Burns hit 98 mph on the gun with his fastball in his MLB debut quite regularly, and I could see him simply overpowering several of the Red Sox hitters tonight at Fenway. This kid also has a filthy 89 mph slider that he can use as his other put-away pitch whenever he feels like it. Give me this fun Over. Let's ride!
A's at TB - 7:35 PM EDT
I'm going to stick with these full game Unders, as they've been incredibly good to us this season with a record of 15-8 so far. Tampa Bay's minor league home field does scare me a bit, but I like both of these starting pitchers.
Jacob Lopez has been a pleasant surprise for the A's, and I think he has the stuff to cool down a red-hot Rays lineup. Drew Rasmussen is also a guy that I like, and I could see him dominating an A's lineup that ranks just 28th in WRC+ over the last 14 days.
I'm not too crazy about the A's bullpen, but I love that the Rays' relievers rank 6th in the ever so lovable K minus BB rate. Even after adjusting for the hitter's paradise of Steinbrenner Field, I still made this total around 7.5, so we'll gladly play the Under.
KC at SEA - 9:40 PM EDT
Y'all know I love me some plus money Unders, and this one checks all the boxes. Kirby has been injured for a good portion of this season, and because of that, he's made just 7 starts. He's just now getting back to his usual workload of around 6 innings pitched per start.
The Mariners' young righty hasn't really looked like himself in most of those starts either. He's struck out 4 batters or fewer in 5 of those outings. The 27-year-old's fastball still has plenty of zip, but his breaking pitches haven't had the same movement that they did a year ago, at least not yet.
Kirby draws a tough matchup, at least strikeout-wise, against Kansas City tonight. The Royals have the 2nd-lowest K-rate in MLB versus righties. Give me a sweaty Under to wrap up June!
