Happy Hump Day, sports betting family! Tuesday was terrible for us on the MLB side of things. We went 0-3 to run our record to 107-105 on the season. Both of our full game unders went up in smoke, and Robbie Ray ruined our player props parlay by only getting 5 Ks against Cleveland.
It's been a rough week so far, and we're in need of a big bounce-back performance today. Check out our best bet and 2 player props parlays for June 18th below. Best of luck with all your Wednesday MLB action.
BOS at SEA - 4:10 PM EDT and PIT at DET - 6:40 PM EDT
The books never do us any favors, especially when the true aces are on the hill. I never like to ask a guy to get 7 Ks, but these two southpaws are just too nasty not to put in a parlay together. Crochet already fanned 9 Mariners back on April 24th, and they're still a team that struggles to put the ball in play against lefties.
Seattle has the 7th-highest K-rate in baseball against left-handers, so Crochet should be able to turn in yet another dominant performance. I also love having a little bit of afternoon action on a Wednesday.
Tarik Skubal surprisingly had just 6 Ks against the Orioles last week, but I watched that game from start to finish and saw that he was cheated out of a couple of punchouts by the home plate umpire. Look for the best pitcher in baseball to dominate this helpless Pirates squad.
MIN at CIN - 7:10 PM EDT and STL at CWS - 7:40 PM EDT
I don't like that Terry Francona is choosing to use two lefty starters back-to-back in this spot with Nick Lodolo following Andrew Abbott. That being said, Minnesota always seems to swing and miss a ton against southpaws. The Twins have the 4th-highest K-rate in MLB against lefties, so this is a nice matchup for Lodolo.
Lodolo's K-rate still isn't where I'd like it to be, but it's been improving after a slow start to 2025. The former TCU star has one of the best changeups in the game, and he's still getting plenty of chase (84th percentile) on his curveball and sinker.
Sonny Gray has been the model of consistency for well over a decade, and I love asking him to find just 5 Ks any time that the price is right. The White Sox have ruined a lot of my strikeout props this season, but they have the highest K-rate in baseball over the last two weeks. Let's cash this one!
PIT at DET - 6:40 PM EDT (Heaney vs. Skubal)
Thanks to a pretty pitiful offense, Pittsburgh unders have been a goldmine this season. The Under is 43-27 in 2025 for a hefty profit of over 13 units against a standard -110 line in Pirates games. I don't normally like playing Under 7s, but it's worth a shot with such a subpar offense taking on the reigning AL Cy Young Award Winner.
Tarik Skubal's changeup is almost 10 mph slower than his fastball, and his arm action on both pitches is identical. His sinker and slider aren't too bad either. If the Pirates score even one run against Skubal, I'd be shocked.
On the flip side, Pirates starter Andrew Heaney scares me a little, but he's been pitching better of late. The crafty lefty has given up three earned runs or fewer in six of his last seven outings. The Tigers have a stellar offense, but they have an expected batting average of just .238 against him.
I'm not too crazy about either team's bullpen, but I don't think that'll matter in this spot. My numbers have Detroit winning this one to the tune of 5-1, so we'll gladly jump on the Under and root for another boring game in the Motor City. Let's reel in a winning Wednesday!
