MLB Picks Today: Live Odds and 2 Player Prop Parlays for Thursday, June 5

Happy Thursday, fellow MLB fans! Check out our betting guide to help you with the slate. Our baseball insider shares his 2 top player prop parlays for June 5.

Mike Noblin

Happy Thursday, sports betting family! I hope all of you had a terrific Hump Day. We had a nice 2-0 sweep to help us get back to even for the week. That brings us to 96-92 on the season, which is hopefully a sign that things are turning around.

Our first K prop parlay got us to the payout window yesterday, as Luis Ortiz and MacKenzie Gore each dominated their opposing lineups. Our other parlay on Chris Sale and Nick Pivetta also got home, but by the skin of Pivetta's teeth. Check out our 2 player props parlays for June 5th below. Let's ride!

Parlay: Casey Mize 4+ Ks / Bryan Woo 5+ Ks (-110) (DraftKings)

DET at CWS- 2:10 PM EDT and BAL at SEA - 3:40 PM EDT

Mize is probably my least favorite K play of the day, but he should find us 4 punchouts against a feisty White Sox lineup. The books are expecting almost 6 innings of usage for the young righty today, which should equate to 4 or 5 Ks from the former No. 1 overall draft pick.

The White Sox are putting the ball in play more of late, but they still have the 9th-highest K-rate in baseball against righties. They could be in some serious trouble against Mize, who is finally living up to his potential after some tough luck injuries. Four everyday hitters for the White Sox fan more than 23.6% of the time, so Mize should have some success with his above-average splitter and his pretty decent slurve.

I can't bet on Bryan Woo without chuckling because he makes me think of Ric Flair and his patented "Wooooo" battle cry. On a more serious note, most of these Orioles hitters have never faced Woo, and that gives us a nice edge with this Over.

Woo's K-rate is just slightly above league average, but he hits 96 mph with his fastball and around 95 mph with his sinker. His slider also has a ton of break when he's got a good feel for it. Woo has gotten at least 5 Ks in 9 of his 11 starts this season, so we'll trust him to do the same against this free-swinging Baltimore lineup.

Parlay: Framber Valdez 5+ Ks / Max Fried 5+ Ks (-109) (DraftKings)

HOU at PIT - 6:40 PM EDT and CLE at NYY - 7:05 PM EDT

Valdez continues to be a solid presence in the Astros' rotation, and he's performed pretty well against this Pirates lineup in his career. The veteran southpaw has allowed an expected batting average of just .226 to Pittsburgh's roster through 67 batters faced.

Pittsburgh has struggled all year long against lefties, so this is an ideal matchup for Framber to rack up more than a few Ks. Three Pirate hitters strike out more than 25% of the time, so look for Valdez to put his nasty sinker and filthy curveball to good use in this one.

Fried is more of a ground ball pitcher, but I like how he matches up with this Guardians lineup. Cleveland has a high contact rate against righties, but they've struggled against lefties to put the ball in play.

Most of Cleveland's lineup has never seen Fried's stuff, so they could be in for a rude awakening. The former 1st-round pick has seven pitches, and each one of them has a ton of movement. Look for Fried to pitch deep enough into this game to find us 5 punchouts. Good luck!
