Happy Monday, sports betting family! I hope all of you had a remarkable weekend. We had a profitable 5-1 showing if you combine Friday's 4-1 and Saturday's 1-0 performances, respectively. That brings us to 92-88 on the season, which is hopefully a sign that things are turning around.
Last week was full of ups and downs, but that's pretty much the norm with betting Major League Baseball. Let's start the week off right with 3 winners for June 2nd. Best of luck, my friends.
MIL at CIN - 7:10 PM EDT (Civale vs. Singer)
This is my favorite total on the Monday board, even though I'm not too high on either of these offenses. That being said, both of these teams are starting to swing the bat better of late. Milwaukee has scored 5 runs or more in 6 of their last 7 ball games, and Cincy's hitters are looking more comfortable at the plate as well.
We also have two starters who have a tendency to get lit up every once in a while. It's hard to tell what we're going to get from Aaron Civale, as he's only made 3 starts this season due to a strained hammy. I don't expect him to pitch more than 4 or 5 innings at the most tonight on the road.
Once Civale is out of the game, the Reds should be able to exploit this Brewers bullpen, which only ranks 20th in K minus BB rate this season. Cincy's bullpen has been subpar as well, as they check in at 21st in reliever K minus BB rate. I could also see the Brewers staying hot against Brady Singer, who has good stuff but often gets hit hard. Give me the Over!
COL at MIA - 6:40 PM EDT and DET at CWS - 7:40 EDT
These K prop parlays have been good to us so far, so we'll keep riding them when the numbers make sense. I like both of these guys to dominate for at least 6 innings against two below-average offenses.
Max Meyer has one of the best young arms in the game today, but nobody has heard of him because he pitches for the lowly Marlins. The young righty has a 95-mph fastball, a 94-mph sinker, and a nasty slider that clocks in at almost 90 mph. He shouldn't have much trouble finding 5 Ks against the Rockies.
Jack Black Flaherty continues to be one of the top strikeout pitchers in the American League, even though his ERA is a little higher than it was last season. The big right-hander is a bulldog who never backs down from any opposing hitter.
Flaherty gets a decent matchup against the White Sox tonight on the road. He should see 6 innings of work, and there's no reason to think he can't find at least 1 K per inning. Flaherty has a K-rate of 34% against this Pale Hose roster through 53 career plate appearances. Let's cash this plus money parlay!
MIN at A's - 10:05 PM EDT
I'll be in bed by the time this game on the West Coast gets underway, so y'all will have to cheer on this Same Game Parlay without me. Faithful readers of my column know that Joe Ryan is probably my favorite pitcher in the AL to bet on. The young righty always seems to strike out plenty of hitters, and he does an excellent job of limiting walks.
Ryan gets a great matchup tonight against an A's squad that has recently called up a few guys from AAA. Only 5 guys on this A's roster have seen Ryan's stuff, so a lot of these poor hitters will be in for a rude awakening.
Ryan's K-rate currently sits in the 87th percentile, mainly thanks to his sweeper and his splitter. He also pitched 6 or more innings in 15 of his 23 starts last season. Let's cash this correlated Same Game Parlay at this very reasonable price over at Fanatics.
