Wednesday MLB: Eckel has a cycle of picks including White Sox vs Indians, Nationals vs Blue Jays, and Brewers vs Pirates

The Los Angeles Dodgers salvaged what could have been a really bad night Tuesday.

Still 1-2 isn’t good enough. What’s a hitter do when he’s a slump? He keeps swinging. So, here are some MLB picks for Wednesday night.

Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Indians, 6:10 pm

Pitchers: Lucas Giolito vs. Zach Plesac

Odds: White Sox -110; Indians -103

Washington Nationals vs. Toronto Blue Jays, 6:35 pm

Pitchers: Max Scherzer vs. Nate Pearson

Odds: Nats -160; Blue Jays +143

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:05 pm

Pitchers: Brandon Woodruff vs. Joe Musgrove

Odds: Brewers -150; Pirates + 130

The Cycle

Single: Cleveland swept a doubleheader from the White Sox Tuesday, so we’re looking for the Southsiders to bounce back with their ace on the mound Wednesday night. Take Chicago.

Double: Scherzer at -160 is probably as good as odds as you can expect. Take the Nats, who lost to the Jays Tuesday, straight up or in a parlay with the White Sox or with our next pick.

Triple: Woodruff went 2-0 with 24 strikeouts in two appearances against Pittsburgh last season. Musgrove, meanwhile, has a career 6.46 ERA against the Brewers. Take Milwaukee.

Home Runs: Since we’re backing the Nats and Brewers let’s go with Washington’s Howie Kendrick and Milwaukee’s Christian Yelich, who has really been struggling, to go deep Wednesday.
