Saturday’s Race Recap from Gulfstream Park:

(All odds US)

 Gulfstream Park:

Race 3: 4th@ 7.60/1

Race 8: 1st@ 0.40/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 BEST BET

Race 9: SCRATCH

We had two early scratches in Race 3 to kick off our Saturday including the expected controlling early speed. Then at the gate they scratched a third speed. Mo Town Madison was my selection banking on a fast early pace so she was at a huge disadvantage after the scratches coming from off the pace. We were right to try to take down the 2/5 favorite West Bank who went down in flames but finished a close fourth while Chasing Silver upended the field at 22/1 on debut. In Race 8, Frank’s Rockette was rated off the early pace, took the lead on the far turn and drew off to an impressive score in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie as our day’s BEST BET. 0.40/1 odds were what we got in the U.S. so I’m hoping a few of our overseas members locked in the 4/5 morning line. In Race 9, Drinking Problem scratched due to hangover.

Saturday’s Race Recap from Tampa Bay Downs:

Race 11: 1st@ 0.50/1 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥- 2 PT WIN BET

Tapit Trice broke last and was far back til the far turn where he hooked wide and mowed down the entire field in a breathtaking display of class over an overmatched Tampa Bay Derby field.

Three selections on the day today after a scratch and an unfortunate multitude of scratches in Race 3 was our only loser of the three. A pair of two point stakes winners closed out our day on a high note. Unfortunately at short prices but we’ll take our winners where we can get them and get our bombs when they present themselves.

Let’s close out our week with one more race card from Gulfstream Park. Unfortunately we’ve got a few more short prices on Sunday’s card but sometimes that’s how they come. We’re expecting fast and firm conditions. Let’s get to work!

Gulfstream Park:

Race 10: Pure Country - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Fillies race a mile on turf to close out our week and we’re looking to close the week with a price on a Joel Rosario ridden runner. Rosario is one of the top turf riders in the country and he’ll pilot Pure Country, a closer in a race that’s loaded with early speed. She’s been off for about nine months and returns with a solid foundation of works. In her most recent start she finished second in a turf race at Indiana Downs. The filly who beat her would go on to win her next two starts including a stakes and later on in the year would compete in a Grade 1 race. Pure Country will need pace to close into but once she gets that she should be set up for success. From the clouds to close out our week on a winning note!

Best of luck to all our members playing Sunday’s races from Gulfstream Park!
