Wednesday’s Race Recap from Keeneland:

Replays for yesterday’s races from Keeneland can be found here:
Keeneland:
Race 1: 5th@ 2.00/1
Race 6: 2nd@ 31.20/1
Race 8: 7th@ 33.10/1
In Race 1, Heir to Greatness was undone by the speed favoring Keeneland surface as One Cool Dude took them coast to coast like butter on toast with Heir to Greatness making his move on the turn and flattening out. In Race 6, My Imagination got a perfect rail-skimming ride from Martin Garcia and beat everyone but the favorite running home a game second at 31/1 odds. In Race 8, the hike in class proved to be a little too much for Ball Gown as she never mounted a serious rally finishing seventh.
In the past two weeks we’ve finished second at 55/1 and 31/1 and had a 36/1 winner 🔥🔥🔥. The weather might be cooling down, but we are heating up.
We’ll head back to Belmont at Aqueduct for their Thursday race card. Fast and firm conditions are expected beneath sunny skies with seasonal temperatures. Let’s get to work!
Belmont at Aqueduct:
Race 7: Silver Strand - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 7/2)
Allowance runners sprint 6 furlongs here and if the Saratoga debut version Silver Strand shows up today then everyone else is running for second. The problem is that her two subsequent efforts were horrendous. She was given some time off by Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott (a 22% win angle for him) and comes into this off almost a full year layoff. This filly is bred to be a good one and my sense is that if she weren’t any good they would’ve just retired her as her pedigree gives her value as a brood mare. Gate to wire threat and if you can lock in 7/2 odds with your bookmaker, do it. She’ll be lower here in the U.S.
Best of luck to everyone playing Thursday’s races from Belmont at Aqueduct!
