Good morning racing fans. We’re back with another exciting week of racing action. We’re a little more than two weeks from Kentucky Derby day. We’ll stay at Keeneland for Wednesday’s racing action and expect a fast main track and a firm turf course. LOT’S of tricky races. Maiden claimers coming off layoffs and plenty of trainer changes on today’s card so I’m only going with one pick on the day. It’s one I’ve read a little about and he sounds like if he can break well on debut he‘ll be tough.

Wednesday at Keeneland:

Race 4: Late September - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 10/1)

Two year old maidens sprint 4 1/2 furlongs. Late September is a Louisiana Bred runner who’s been training at Palm Beach Downs in South Florida so it’s interesting to see him make him debut at Keeneland instead of the two year old races coming up at Gulfstream Park. They must think there’s some quality here as these races are worth a little more. Trainer Rusty Arnold isn’t exactly known for rushing horses to win first time out but this one has been training well according to the workout reports. Sire, Munnings wins with 15% of his first out runners and dam missed in her debut but put up a strong number so there’s some precocity in the bloodlines Arnold taps top jockey - Florent Geroux to ride this one and could be poised for an upset at first asking.

Good luck to everyone playing Wednesday’s races from Keeneland!
