We have questionable weather heading to Florida and that’s been hurting us lately so we’re back with Wednesday’s Race card from Fair Grounds. Let’s get to the action!
Wednesday pick for Fair Grounds:
Race 8: Guest Speaker - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)
Turf sprinters go 5 1/2 furlongs and we have a blue-blooded $625k purchase racing for trainer Brad Cox who’s currently winning at a 27% rate here at this Fair Grounds meet. Guest Speaker was bet down to odds on favoritism in his August debut and was bothered early and never showed much. Now he returns sprinting on turf. Trainer Cox excels with this angle winning at a 33% rate with runners returning from more than 180-day breaks sprinting on turf. That makes this 5/1 morning line all the more appealing. The sharp works including one on March 7 signal readiness.
