Wednesday at Gulfstream Park:
Race 5: Federica - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 12/1)
Maidens race a mile on turf and Federica is making the second start of her career here after a better-than-it-looks 5th place finish on polytrack at Woodbine. Gail Cox is one of my very favorite longshot turf trainers as Federica picks up Lasix here. That final fraction in her debut effort of 11.81 was faster than 41 of 43 runners to race 6 furlongs that day at Woodbine. This one is bred for turf top and bottom and has already shown the ability to close from far back.
