Weather should be Tampa sunny.

God's Tipster

Good morning racing fans. We are back to start another month of exciting racing action ! With Churchill Downs closing for the season and Aqueduct dark until Thursday, we’ll take a look at some racing from Tampa Bay Downs. On Wednesday we expect sunny and mild conditions in Tampa with a fast main track and a firm turf course. Let’s make some money

Wednesday picks for Tampa Bay Downs:

Race 1: Minister Quinn - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 5/1)

We start the month with maiden claimers racing 7 furlongs and I always love it when we’re likely to get value on a runner with the top speed figure in the field and that’s the case with Minister Quinn who owns that distinction based on his most recent start. He’s also shown the best early speed in the two races he’s run and his rider has had a nice start to the meet. Value play.

Race 4: Tour the World - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

More maiden claimers - this time on turf. I love these races so much because I feel they offer great value and that’s the case here with our selection - Tour the World - who owns the field’s second best turf figure but is lined at 8/1. There looks like enough speed signed on to set up his closing kick and this one’s low profile connections should ensure a square price.

Race 7: Hannah Dances - 1 pt win (US Morning Line Odds: 8/1)

Allowance runners Sprint 7 furlongs here and Hannah Dances may get overlooked here off her 8/1 morning line and low profile barn and I’m hoping that happens because I like her chances based on the probable pace setup. There’s enough speed signed on to set the table for a closer and she’s got a strong closing kick. This winner of 7 of 14 starts tried every time and raced on sloppy tracks in her three most recent starts - not her preferred service. A fast track today and rider Jesus Castanon has won 3 of 6 starts at this meet. Give this filly a long look.

Best of luck to everyone playing Wednesday’s races from Tampa Bay Downs!
