RT picks the Monday card at Mahoning Valley after 3 winners on Sunday

The 3rd post gos off at 1:40 pm EST.

RT

Mahoning Valley 12.14.20

Low 40’s and partly sunny

  • Profitable day yesterday with three wins, two places, two shows and one out of the money.

  • Much to my chagrin, my computer took a dump and I lost what was written, so this will be briefer than normal.

  • I handicapped the three allowance races and will summarize them below

  • Trying to find a track that I follow which will be dry and fast may prove daunting this week with a nor’easter heading that way.

Race 2 - $25K Optional Claimer N3X

3↑ Ohio bred fillies and mares going six furlongs

I landed on #2 Here Comes Jigs (3/1). Her best races have come at Mahoning on a fast surface and with a 10:5-2-2 for $132K here, along with a 7:4-1-0 for $96K at the distance, this granddaughter of Giant’s Causeway gets the green light.

Race 3 - $29K Allowance N1X

3↑ fillies and mares going one mile, seventy yards.

I took Aiken Apple (10/1) due to her route win to break her maiden three back. This is her third allowance race since and the class relief will help greatly.

Race 6 - $25K Allowance C

3↑ going six furlongs

#4 Flatter Me Please (3/1) gets all our best numbers, including $16K per attempt at MVR. In her last, the $200K Steel Valley Sprint Stakes, she got off a step slow, hustled up to press the leader, and finished well giving a game effort for place. That was on a muddy track and her best races are on fast tracks, going 6:3-2-0 for $49K

Race 1 – Easy Eyes should get a stalking trip to score

Race 4 – Sweetalkingjustice

Race 5 – Saffron Girl

Race 7 – Vinny Boy

Race 8 – Biscuits And Grits
