Wednesday Will Rogers Downs pick 4 from RT using SmartCap caps the final day of the WRD spring meet

RT

Yesterday, we had $6 bet and 0 returned. To date, $311.00 bet $325.30 returned for a net of $14.30 or a 4.66% roi.

Today is the final day of the spring meet at Will Rogers Downs and there are some interesting titles to be determined.

Trainers:

Roberto Diodoro – 28

Scott Young – 26

Karl Broberg – 23

Jockeys:

David Cabrera – 35

Floyd Wethey – 33

Ty Kennedy – 32

Notably, these jockeys have mounts today:

Cabrera - 1-2-3-5-9-10

Wethey - 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Kennedy – 2-4-5-6-7-8-10

Trainers:

Diodoro – 5-6-10

Young – 4-5-7-9

Broberg – 1-(2)2-3-5

Mathematically, Broberg is out. All the jockeys have a shot at the crown. If one of these guys gets hot, it’ll be worth putting him in your exotic wagers.

Today we are looking at the late Pick 4.

Race 7

$7.5K Claimers going one mile for OK bred fillies and mares that are 3yo+, NW2

#9 Foreign Creation (9/2) has best last, best overall speed and best overall class. For the fir time dropping in for a tag, this will be her third race in fourteen days. The class relief will do this daughter of Foreign Policy some good.

#4 Eutychia (8/1) second best overall class and best overall speed, this is her second claiming class drop in her career and the positive jockey switch to Tohill makes her a viable option. This will be her first stretch out since December and that will be a welcome relief as her running lines suggest she is at her best with longer distances

#2 Billie G (8/1) dropping for a tag, trainer Randy Swango is 33% with sprint to route horses and this filly should relish the extra distance

#3 Mizz Mattis (10/1) Ry Eikelberry will have her so far out on the lead, that it may be tough to catch up with her. A must include.

Race 8

$15K Claiming fillies and mares that are NW2 going 6f

#8 Figure (5/2) drops for a tag and is stretching out. Sun/Zia shipper get her third race over the strip and will be a playa. She has best overall class, speed and best last.

#1 Foolish Princess (15/1) could loom a danger from the front end after her last, and only, race at WRD clipping a fourteen length W. Comes right back nine days later and jockey/trainer hitting at 29%.

#10 Diva De Kela (20/1) has second best overall class and speed as well as best last two by raw cumulative score. Second off the layoff, drop in price and a dry track will give her a shot.

#12 Can’t Touch This (4/1) has send best last numbers, second off the layoff and second race over the strip.

Race 9

$26.4K Allowance for OK bred 3yo+ NWx or NW3l going 6f

#9 Criminal (5/2) has best overall class, best speed and best last two cumulatively. However, every horse that has come out of that last stakes race with Welder has fared poorly. He’ll be a pass regardless of his numbers.

#8 Speaker Van (7/2) Von Hemel/Cabrera 67% wins and this 4yo gelding will be flying late. There will be plenty of speed to close in to with the 1-3-7-6 and if Cabrera can work out the trip, he’ll be tough to beat. Beaten favorite in two of three, Wethey/Young get their second crack at allowance company in six weeks. He popped a stakes race here two years ago and since has struggled against anything but claiming company. It is tough to exclude her due to her condition and WRD record of 5:2-2-1 for $60K.

#6 Word To The Wise (6/1) could this be the race that he beats Speaker Van? As the huge odds on in the slop last out, he took a commanding lead to only tire and get second. Lifetime per race of $9.5K is best of this gang, so a must include.

The Grand Finale

Race 10

$5K Claimers going 5.5f who are 3yo+ who have started at the meet and did not finish in the $$

(seems odd to save the worst for last)

#10 Fayette Warrior (2/1) and #3 Rocketringo are the only two who have put up the best numbers against tougher company.
