On Thursday, Connecticut rewarded my faith in them by pounding Chicago on the boards, 43-28, in a nine-point series-clinching victory on the road. Hopefully, I rewarded your faith in me with my resulting “dubs.” If you haven’t shown faith in me yet, take a look at my record this season and recognize.

Now the Sun face the Las Vegas Aces, who are the best team in the WNBA and who just dispatched Seattle in the semis. I think the Aces will win the series and collect the championship. But I’m not gonna sleep on the Sun. Because it’s too bright. Even before the Chicago series, Connecticut had proven their toughness to me, and I don’t think they’re gonna roll over now. They’ll slow the game down and they’ll give Vegas just as much trouble on the boards as they gave the Sky. The Sun’s defense is the best in the WNBA. And everyone’s counting them out. I think they’ll give Vegas all they can handle, starting with today. Try to find 6.5 points to take instead of 6.
