(blinks) I mean…I guess the books have Connecticut favored, so the disrespect isn’t too severe…But I still think everyone is underestimating the Sun way too much. Yes, they lost Game Two. But they only lost by eight points, after being down 15 at halftime, after already “stealing” Game One. The Sun had already taken care of business and stolen home court. They also missed eight free throws. They’re 14-6 at home. They were a better defensive team during the regular season. I mean, (blinks). I like guard Courtney Williams to have a big game; she went 3-10 from the field on Wednesday and that can’t sit well with her. Las Vegas Aces at Seattle Storm, 3 pm Eastern
The Pick: Las Vegas +1.5 (-110), bet $16.50 to win $15
I mean…I get this line. I just disagree with it. Substantially. Imagine me in my office, staring at my computer monitor, shaking my fist in the air in disagreement. I’m typing this with one hand, for heaven’s sake. Connecticut and Chicago are evenly matched teams. Las Vegas and Seattle are not. The Aces are better. Yes, they lost Game One (I shook my fist at that, too). But it was one game. They took care of business in Game Two and I think they have their focus back. Also, please do not forget what I’ve been saying for two seasons now - Seattle is not an automatic cover at home. This season, they’re 11-8-1 ATS at home, by no means an indication they should be favored against the best team in the league. Las Vegas has won seven of eight games and six of eight ATS on the road. I mean, I’ll take money when these lines are dumb (please look at my record again before you snark). But I’m not going to be happy I have to do it. (shakes fist) Oh, wait - no, I’m fine with it. (raises fist in air in triumph)
