I understand Chicago pasted New York on Saturday, 100-62. The 38-point victory was historic, the largest margin of victory for a WNBA playoff game. Yay. Big deal. The only thing that has to do with tonight’s game is, it’s pushed the line even further in favor of taking the home dog Liberty. This series is tied 1-1, and now we get to see how the quirk of the lower-seeded team hosting the deciding Game Three will play out. New York has won two of five games against Chicago this season, and aside from Saturday’s game, the two losses have been by an average of five points. Saturday’s game was over by halftime; tonight’s game will not be over that early. New York shot 15% from three-point land on Saturday. They will shoot better tonight. I don’t see the Liberty backing down in this deciding game. I like having the points.
