The Pick: Las Vegas +2.5 (-118), bet $7.50 to win $6.36
This is all about Courtney Vandersloot, who’s listed as questionable due to the concussion she suffered on July 13. Even if the amazing point guard plays, she’s unlikely to be at tip-top shape, which will be a problem against Las Vegas’s backcourt of Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray. The Aces have not quite been themselves of late, for gamblers anyway. They’ve gone 5-1 straight up but 4-11 against the spread. But they dropped a game to the Sky in Vegas on June 21, 104-95, and I think they want to make up for that. Right now, I would say this matchup will be what we’re going to see in the WNBA Finals, and I think both teams will want to put forth their best. With Vandersloot not at her best, I like the Aces to hang tight.
