Atlanta Dream at Washington Mystics, 7 pm Eastern
The Pick: Washington -8 (-113), bet $7.50 to win $6.88
Atlanta comes into tonight’s matchup pretty banged up. Erica Wheeler, Kia Vaughn, Nia Coffey, and Kristy Wallace are all listed as questionable with various injuries/illnesses/quarantine issues. Wheeler is a particularly big loss; as the point guard, she was helping maintain the Dream’s up-and-down pace (2nd in the WNBA). The Mystics, on the other hand, will be at full strength. They beat Atlanta by 20 back on May 24, and are coming off a big overtime victory in Las Vegas on Saturday. Washington handles their business tonight.
Dallas Wings at Minnesota Lynx, 8 pm Eastern
The Pick: Dallas +2.5 (-118), bet $7.50 to win $6.36
As up-and-down as they are, Dallas is a playoff team. Minnesota is not. The Lynx are a bad 2-6 at home (4-4 against the spread), while the Wings are 6-3 ATS on the road. Dallas handled Minnesota on May 21, winning at home by 16, and while the Wings will be missing Allisha Gray and Satou Sabally with injuries, I still like the backcourt of Arike Ogunbowale and Marina Mabrey to handle Minnesota’s guards. Ogunbowale and Mabrey are scorers, and the Lynx’s defense is the second-worst in the WNBA. I’ll take the points.
