WNBA Wednesday: O'Sullivan hopes to stay hot with the Sun vs Liberty

(shrug) Money won on a meaningless battle between the two worst teams in the WNBA spends just as well as money won on the Super Bowl. Let’s keep it going…

New York Liberty at Connecticut Sun, 7 pm Eastern

The Pick: Connecticut -800, Connecticut -12.5 (-110)

Connecticut has won 12 in a row, and 16 of 17. New York has lost seven in a row. The Sun need to win a game to clinch the number-one seed for the playoffs. The Liberty are one game out of the playoffs and need to win the game more, but I don’t see it. In their two matchups this year, Connecticut won by 19 and 17 points. The Sun is ablaze (sorry) and as I said a few days ago, I’ll ride them until they buck me. I’m not making a huge play on this, but a small dinner on the moneyline, and just a spoonful of cover for dessert.
