WNBA Sunday Afternoon: Sizzling O'Sullivan picks Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky, Atlanta Dream at Dallas Wings

Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky, 3 pm EDT, Atlanta Dream at Dallas Wings, 4 pm.

4-1 yesterday, 15-5 in my last twenty picks…Be careful; don’t touch me.

Because I’m. On. Fire. (sizzles)

Seattle O’Sullivan so far: 111-89-1

Las Vegas Aces at Chicago Sky, 3 pm Eastern

The Pick: Chicago +3.0 (-110)

Las Vegas beat Chicago on Thursday, 90-83. That was in Las Vegas, however. The Aces are one game out of the top seed in the playoff picture, but the Sky still need to clinch a playoff spot overall. A win today would guarantee Chicago for at least a tie for the eighth seed. Aces center Liz Cambage is listed as questionable with COVID. As much as I don’t like how she plays sometimes, she’s a big part of the team so with her not playing, I’m leaning towards the home dog here. If the spread were 2.5 points, I might’ve gone with Las Vegas. At 3 points, I’ll take the Sky.

Atlanta Dream at Dallas Wings, 4 pm Eastern

The Pick: Dallas -290, Dallas -6.5 (-110)

The Wings only won Thursday’s game by four points, 72-68. But Dallas hasn’t clinched a playoff spot yet either. Atlanta is now tied for last place in the WNBA and may be tanking at this point. They’ve lost five straight. Given it was a tight game the last time the two teams played, and that Atlanta actually beat Dallas back on May 27 I’m betting the Wings put the pedal to the metal today…

. . . and don’t look now, but Dallas’ odds to win the WNBA Championship are at +8000 . . . I’m not taking it yet, but . . . jus’ sayin’ . . .
