If only I had trusted my gut and just taken the Washington Mystics and the points… If only I had been a little more conservative in my love for the Dallas Wings…If only I had assumed at least one team I put my money on would blow a double-digit lead in the second half (Really, Dallas? Up by 14 and then…gone? Outrebounded by 10? Outscored 15-28 in the 3rd quarter? Et tu, Wings?)…

(sigh) …If “ifs” and “buts” were taking care not to turn the ball over and making sure you took care of business before your game with the Las Vegas Aces and, every day would be cash in my pocket…(sigh)

Seattle O’Sullivan so far: 37-31

Minnesota Lynx at Atlanta Dream, 7 pm EDT

The Pick: Atlanta +2 (+105)

Home dog alert. I use a mere full stop period here instead of an exclamation point, as both of these teams are 5-7 and underperforming to this point in the season. The Lynx have won the last two meetings, one close and one a blowout, but both of those were at Minnesota. On the road, the Lynx are 1-6 in their last 7, including 1-5 against the spread. The Dream are playing at the third-fastest pace in the WNBA and turn the other team over 17 times a game. The Lynx turn the ball over themselves the third-most. Once again, I’ll take the home team and the points…but again, I’m not using an exclamation point.
