Today, we’ll reveal the opening odds and three best bets below for the EPL’s 21st Matchday schedule. Let's get into it!
Brentford has been great so far this season at home, but it will be a tall task to step up and win against a City team that seems to be getting back to form.
City is winners of their last 2 games by a combined 6-1 margin. This should be a fun game to get league play back up and running.
Bournemouth is unbeaten in their last nine league games. That impressive streak has them sitting at 9th in the league table. These teams met back in September where Chelsea won 1-0.
Chelsea comes into this game winless in their last 4 league games, so they will certainly be looking to get going in front of their home crowd.
West Ham has looked better under their new manager Graham Potter, but they have still struggled to win games. They have won only once in their last 5 league games and have had tough back-to-back matches against Liverpool and Man City.
Fulham has done a good job at not losing, but also only has 1 win through their 5-game unbeaten streak. Expect a tight match that may end in a draw.
This is the game I am most excited for this week. Forest has won their last 6 league game and are currently the hottest team in the league. However, they are taking on the juggernaut that is Liverpool.
Forest won the first matchup between these teams back in September 1-0. Be sure to tune into this one as two teams eyeing a Champions League berth are facing off.
It has been a tough season so far for Everton with only 3 wins on the season so far. Villa is coming into this game on the back of 5 straight away losses in league play, so it will be interesting to see if they can get the job done against a lower-level team.
Leicester looks to be on the path to relegation. They have lost their last 5 league games and only scored 2 goals in that span.
Palace hasn’t been amazing, but they have lost only one of their last 5 and seem to be climbing their way to the middle of the league rankings. I don’t expect a very high-scoring affair in this one.
Newcastle has been on fire recently. They have won their last 5 league games and have allowed only one goal in that stretch.
Wolves started the season looking absolutely terrible, but they have since seemed to pick up a little confidence. They certainly will need to play lights out to keep up with this red-hot Newcastle squad.
It has been a rough go for Tottenham over their last 5 games. They have won only one game against last-place Southampton. Arsenal on the other hand is unbeaten in their last 5.
To make Tottenham’s problems worse, Arsenal has yet to lose a home game this season. Injuries are affecting both teams currently, but I expect Arsenal to have the advantage.
Brighton is winless in their last 5, but they have only lost 1 game and record 4 straight draws. They have had trouble scoring over that stretch with just 5 goals in 5 games.
Ipswich hasn’t been great this year, but they have managed 2 of their 3 wins on the year over their last 5 games. This game will be close but give Brighton the edge.
This matchup couldn’t come at a better time for Man U. They lost 3 of their last 4 before scoring a 2-2 draw against Liverpool. Those points along with an FA Cup win over Arsenal should be just the confidence they need going into this game.
There isn’t much to say about Southampton this season besides they’re almost certainly getting relegated. They have managed only one win and 3 draws through 20 games.
Nottingham Forest (+400) vs Liverpool - This is certainly a risky play, but it is almost impossible to pass up. Forest has won 6 straight games and currently sit 3rd in the league. They also have the home-field advantage. Liverpool is the more talented team, but +400 is too juicy to pass up.
Crystal Palace (-110) at Leicester - Palace certainly hasn’t been amazing this year, but Leicester has looked about as bad as possible over their last 5. They have scored just 2 goals in 5 games. Palace has lost only one of their last 5 in league play.
Brighton (-110) at Ipswich Town - Ipswich hasn’t been great this season and currently sit in a relegation position. Brighton currently sits at 10th in the league and desperately needs a win after 4 straight draws.
