UEFA Super Cup heads to Windsor Park, as Chelsea, Villareal look to add to their European cup haul

Some people see the UEFA Super Cup as a glorified scrimmage before the season begins.

But for Chelsea and Villareal, it is a chance to lift another European cup, after their exploits last May.

Chelsea stunned Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League Final, while Villareal beat Manchester United 11-10 on penalties (still sucks to write that) after a 1-1 draw through 120 minutes of action in the Europa League Final.

Wednesday, the two teams travel to Northern Ireland to play at Windsor Park, and it is the Spanish team that comes in banged up after a tough preseason.

Chelsea has a deep squad, so even with one eye on its opening Premier League match Saturday against Crystal Palace, is probably in a much better position to put out a stronger side.

I am going to side with the Blues here.
