A very strong case can be made right now that Italy is the best team in Europe, and by extension, the world.

The Azzurri just set a new mark in the group stages, allowing no goals in their three Group A victories. Those three games were just part of 11-straight clean sheets for Roberto Mancini’s side: Italy also heads into its Round-of-16 contest unbeaten in 30 games.

Wow.

Now Austria is no pushover, but this Italian team looks to be headed for some big time showdowns in the coming rounds if they keep winning.

In the first game Saturday, look for Denmark to keep rolling after its 4-1 win to clinch the runner-up spot in Group B.
