UEFA EURO 2020 Group of Death gets underway, with all eyes on France-Germany

We had to wait a few days to get to today, but here we are, with the UEFA 2020 European Championship Group of Death ready to kick off Tuesday.

As a fan of the sport, I am excited to see my two tournament favorites get out on the pitches and play: France and Portugal.

It is the defending champions that get the first chance for three points, with the early match against Hungary. Portugal is loaded all over the pitch, and should be able to put on a display.

The second game is massive: there is no bigger game on Matchday 1 than the one they put last. If there is a winner, they will have supreme confidence heading into the next game, while the loser is already in a hole.

As I always do, I have supreme confidence in this France team: Les Bleus have been the best team in Europe since 2016. Portugal might be the second best, and I expect both to win today.
