Lionel Messi, Argentina, join Copa America fray Monday: Spain, Sweden look for EURO 2020 Group E supremacy

Much has been made of Lionel Messi’s “failures” with the Argentina national team.

Argentina lost the 2014 World Cup Final, and the 2015 and 2016 Copa America tournaments, all of which went to extra time.

The team that beat them in the 2015 and 2016 cups, Chile, is their opponent tonight in the 2021 Copa America.

Even though it looks like Brazil’s tournament to win, Argentina could make a last stand here in 2021, and try to get Messi that coveted title.
