Premier League top four battle heats up as three teams look for Champions League places

Saturday could prove pivotal in the battle for Premier League top four.

In the early game, Liverpool has a chance to throw down a marker at home against Newcastle United, although home might be the last place the team wants to be right now, with the awful record of late and the protests that could overshadow the contest.

In the 12:30 contest, it could be a London Derby elimination game, as West Ham United takes on Chelsea, with both teams even on 55 points before the day begins.

Chelsea has a UEFA Champions League semifinal in Madrid Tuesday, and could have one eye on that game, but really can’t afford to lose today.

This could be a decent spot to take the Hammers.
