Liga MX Clausura coming down to the wire, as Cruz Azul, Club America fight to the final day

While it has been Tigres UANL that has gotten most of the press over the last few months in Mexico (and rightly so, as the CONCACAF Champions League winner and as the first team from North America to make the final of the Club World Cup), it is Cruz Azul and Club America that will battle it out over the next month to win the Torneo Guardianes 2021 (Clausura) title.

Cruz Azul comes into its match tonight against Chivas at the top of the table on 33 points, with America second on 31 points. There are four matches left before the final series, and both teams will want to go into the final series in the top spot.

Club America won 3-1 in the Apertura, and in fact have three straight wins in the league against the reigning North American champions. At +200, and needing a win to keep pace, this looks like a very tempting bet tonight.

Cruz Azul should find a way as well tonight, as both teams keep piling up results.
