Copa Libertadores Second Legs see big names trying to move on in tournament

If it seems like the 2020 Copa Libertadores Tournament just ended, it is because it really did.

There was about nine days between the end of last season’s edition and the start of the 2021 one, which was just enough time for fans and bettors to get some sleep (before that damn Daylight Savings time came back and we lost an hour.)

Tonight, there are some interesting ties on the docket. Last season’s losing finalist Santos heads home with a 2-1 lead on aggregate over Deportivo Lara, Independiente del Valle has to overturn a 1-0 deficit at home, and Gremio (a quarterfinalist last season) hits the road with a 6-1 lead over Ayacucho.

Look for Santos to close it out, as well as Gremio, while Independiente will have to go for it in the match and win by two goals to avoid extra time and penalties.
