UEFA Champions League favorites Manchester City look to close out Round of 16 tie

The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 has never been much of a problem of late for Manchester City.

The next round? That is a different story.

The Cityzens will cruise into their quarterfinal tie after tonight’s formality against Borussia Monchengladbach. Ever since Marco Rose announced he is heading to Dortmund next season, Monchengladbach has fallen apart. This could be ugly, but ugly for City could just mean 85 percent possession and a 2-0 win. It could also mean a 6-0 drubbing.

It is the next round that has tripped up Pep’s squad.

In the other tie, Real Madrid heads back to Spain after a late goal stole a 1-0 win in Italy. With Madrid getting healthy, this team could make some serious noise in the competition, if it can ease past Atalanta.
