It is there for the taking, if they can win the two games they have in hand on the other teams ahead of them. One of those is today, against Southampton, and Everton looks to have caught the Saints at the right time.

In Spain, Real Madrid can cut the lead at the top of the table to just three points with a win over Real Sociedad. I had heard about how good this Sociedad team was supposed to be, but they were awful against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League, losing the tie 4-0 (and really should have lost the first match 7-0 if United was half clinical).

Real Madrid wins this, as does Everton.
