Atletico Madrid can start to run away with La Liga title with win today over Eibar — Miller has odds and picks

If you have not looked at the La Liga table yet, you might be surprised. Atletico Madrid holds a four-point lead over Real Madrid, and a seven-point advantage over Barcelona.

But the real key is the games played: Atleti has played just 16, two less than both of its closest rivals. Wins in those two games would put Diego Simeone’s side 13 clear of Barca (which is in the dying days of its empire) and 10 clear of Real (which is in dire need of new players this summer). With Real Madrid set to spend like crazy, this could be the chance for Atletico Madrid to stake its claim for a couple years as the best in Spain.

Now, Eibar away can be tricky, but I expect Atletico Madrid to get it done today.
