In Tuesday Carabao Cup semi-final action, it's Tottenham vs Brentford — Sean Miller has odds and picks

Tottenham vs Brentford starts at 2:45 pm EST can be watched on ESPN+

Will Tottenham’s long wait for a trophy finally end in 2021?

The EFL Carabao Cup was one of three cups (if you count the Charity Shield, which as a United fan, I do) Jose Mourinho won in his first season with Manchester United. Now, the Special One can do the same in his first full campaign in North London with Tottenham, if the Spurs can get rid of pesky Brentford in the semifinal contest Tuesday.

This Brentford side is decent, and could give Tottenham trouble if Mourinho or his players take this contest lightly. But with no silverware since 2008, and just one piece since the millennium, there is no chance of that happening.

I have to think Mourinho prioritizes this match, especially in the hunt for a trophy.
