Both of the South American cup competitions are at the semifinal stage, with the first of the two-legged ties starting Tuesday night with River Plate hosting Palmeiras.

There is an opportunity for two rivalry contests in the final, with River Plate v. Boca Juniors (both of Buenos Aires) or Palmeiras v. Santos (both in or around Sao Paulo) possibly on the cards.

But there is at least 180 minutes of soccer to be played before thoughts of those tasty matchups. I am going to go with the home team in this match.
