With heavy hearts, Napoli looks to honor Diego Maradona with UEFA Europa League win over Rijeka

RIP Diego Armando Maradona.

Arguably the greatest player to have graced the pitches across the world, Maradona finally got a chance to give back the hand to God Wednesday, 60 years after he was born.

Napoli, one of the teams he most loved and turned into a Italian and world powerhouse in the 1980s, will get a chance to honor the man that helped win this competition for them in 1989 (when it was the UEFA Cup).

The Italian side will play HNK Rijeka in Group F action, one of 12 late games on the UEFA Europa League schedule Thursday.
