Late Thursday Europa League: Andrew Chase picks Celtic, Red Star Belgrade, Molde and Milan vs Lille

Matches are at 3 pm ET.

There are few things more entertaining than European Primetime football. We may not be getting Champions League nights like we did the past two days, but the Europa League will do. Plenty of games will be fun to watch during the 3 pm Eastern games, but I’ve picked a few that will present the best value.

For the early games I took three dogs. However, tonight I like the favorites, with Red Star Belgrade and Celtic taking on very favorable matchups. Both teams need a win to stay relevant in their tables, with Red Star three points behind leader Hoffenheim in Group L, and Celtic all the way back in third place in Group H. Lucky for Celtic, AC Milan and Lille face off in what I believe to be a high scoring matchup which could present them the perfect opportunity to push back into the picture if they secure a big win tonight.

I love Celtic, despite their tough patch of form this season. They will not go down in Celtic Park, and they’re worth the price to believe in that for a 2 unit play.

The Big Play: Celtic -1 -170 - 2 Units

Finally, one game most fans will be paying attention to is Molde coming to London to face Arsenal. The line has slowly fallen less in favor of Arsenal, yet they are still favored by a goal and a half. It’s an expensive play, but I will not be sleeping on Molde. They have won every game they’ve featured in at a perfect 6-0 since barely missing out on Champions League football with a loss in penalties to Ferencvaros back at the end of September. Arsenal have looked legit this season, but no matter who is in your group it’s very difficult to go perfect in the group stages, and I believe it’ll be closer than people think today.

Here are the rest of my plays:

UEFA Europa League - European Primetime 3 pm ET

All for one unit.

Red Star Belgrade ML -140

AC Milan / Lille o2.5 Goals -145

Molde +2 -170

Thank you all for your time and your trust. Best of luck to everyone and have a great Thursday!
