Bet the MLS: Andrew Chase picks Minnesota vs Chicago, Nashville vs Dallas, Portland vs Colorado
Wednesday night Major League Soccer is upon us, and so are some great matchups to bet on. Tonight I will be picking half of the six games, with Minnesota, Nashville, and Portland all on the slate at home tonight.
Major League Soccer
Minnesota United vs. Chicago Fire - 8:00 PM EST
Minnesota has pieced together a six-game unbeaten streak after a start to the season that left a lot to be desired. They are still missing star center back Ike Opara and five others due to injuries, but they face off against an atrocious Chicago team with only five wins in 21 matches. On top of that, Chicago is winless on the road, and Minnesota is unbeaten at home since August. That Minnesota team looks completely different than the surging United team we have seen the past few weeks, and we will be riding with them tonight.
The Play: Minnesota United Pick Em -125 - 1 Unit
Nashville SC vs. FC Dallas - 8:30 PM EST
Nashville and Dallas were featured in my picks two weeks ago, as they matched up for the first time in two months after being the only two teams to miss the MLS is Back Tournament due to COVID-19 ravaging their clubs. I had the under that night, and Nashville single-handedly killed that bet and has been on a tear ever since. They have lost one match since the middle of September, and have a lot on the line tonight against Dallas to try to push for Top 6 in the East. In the three previous meetings of the clubs, Nashville has two wins and a draw. Dallas has struggled outside of their main rotation of opponents, and I expect that to happen again tonight on the road.
The Play: Nashville Pick SC Em -170 - 1 Unit
Portland Timbers vs. Colorado Rapids - 10:00 PM EST
Portland sits atop of the Western Conference after a hangover following their MLS is Back Tournament championship win against Orlando. Since taking a nap and drinking some water they have lost one game out of eleven since mid-September, with a perfect record at home. This team is going to run the table come playoffs time, and they will get it done tonight against a Colorado Rapids team that is running out of time to burst into the Western Conference playoff scene.
The Play: Portland Pick Em -155 - 1 Unit
