Thursday Europa League: Andrew Chase picks Rangers vs Lech Poznan and CFR Cluj vs Young Boys

Last week contained tons of exciting Europa League games with a lot to look forward to the rest of the group stages. Today I expect nothing less, with some entertaining matchups across the board. Here are my plays for today:

UEFA Europa League

Rangers vs. Lech Poznan - 4 PM ET

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have been on a roll this season. They sit on top of the Scottish Premiership table above rivals Celtic by 6 points with a perfect record of 10-2, and they have not let up in European play either. The boys from Glasgow have not lost a game since they were bowed out of the 2019-20 Europa League campaign when it resumed in August, losing to Leverkusen 1-0. Since then they have won 13 games and drawn two, with all of the wins being by two or more goals except for one against Galatasaray in order to get into the Europa League from the qualification rounds. Rangers are home at Ibrox today, and I expect them to keep destroying everyone in sight.

The Play: Rangers -1.5 - EVEN - 2 Units

CFR Cluj vs. Young Boys - 4 PM ET

CFR Cluj have not lost since June 28. That is not a typo. They have gone EIGHTEEN games without losing. Just like Rangers, Cluj have been on fire for the second half of 2020. Their final score lines are not as convincing as Rangers, but they are the real deal and deserve their respect for such an incredible feat. I have no idea how Cluj are the underdogs today at home, besides that Young Boys are the name recognition brand in this Thursday night clash. We are slamming Cluj +0.5 and not looking back, as they are not losing their streak tonight at home.

The Play: CFR Cluj +0.5 -170 - 1.5 Units
