BoopProps Wednesday Soccer - Union vs. Portland, Andre Blake, Brenden Aaronson, Jamiro Monteiro, Bernie Parent, Carter Hart

Before their quarterfinal win against Sporting Kansas City, the Union had played six MLS matches in 2020 and every one had been tied at the half.

We never got around to getting that bet down in that contest, so naturally, Philadelphia led 3-1 at the break, saving us $10. There was no scoring in the second half.

Now, we are back on the halftime wagon, but this time we are going with ties in each half as separate bets.

We are also enamored with the play of Union goalie Andre Blake, who right now is a combinaton 1970s Bernie Parent and 2020s Carter Hart. So we are laying down a wager on the Union winning via a shutout.

Taking a shot at two possible goal scorers for the Union – Brenden Aaronson and Jamiro Monteiro. Whenever we watch, they always seem to be in the middle of the offensive action.

All of our odds are from DraftKings, simply because there was no time to compare. Sixers and Phillies action start at 4 p.m. and those beers at the bar are not going to drink themselves.
