EFL Championship playoff Sunday: Miller picks Swansea City vs Brentford

On back of two completely different final weeks, Swansea City and Brentford face off in EFL Championship playoffs. Match time is 1:30 pm EDT.

The last day of the EFL Championship was special.

But if you were watching on ESPN+, and/or on your Live Score app, the last 15 minutes might have been the craziest period for fans and bettors in years.

Brentford, which had promotion to the Premier League in its own hands TWICE, blew both games to fall back to third, and into the perilous playoffs. Swansea City, which came into the final day needing to overturn a four goal difference with Nottingham Forest, did so in the final minutes of its game (3-1 win), while Forest imploded in the final minutes to Stoke (4-1 loss).

With that as the backdrop, the two teams will play a two-legged tie to see who will go to Wembley for the Playoff Final.

History has shown that the team which just misses out on automatic promotion as the third place team (Brentford) will usually falter in the playoffs.

I am going to take Swansea City at home to ride the momentum, and if you can find a bet for the Swans to advance out of the tie, that could well be worth it as well.
