Sean Miller's Premier League Monday Picks, Part 1: Sheffield United vs Everton & Brighton vs Newcastle United

Brighton & Hove Albion might need one more point, while Sheffield United still has eyes on Europe — Both games start at 1 pm EDT

While Brighton & Hove Albion is all but safe for another season, holding a six-point lead with just two matches to go and a vastly better goal difference, the Seagulls can guarantee another season in the Premier League with one more point.

Newly-promoted Sheffield United can follow in Wolverhampton’s footsteps and make it into European play in its first season back in the top flight, if the Blades beat Everton Monday and have some things go their way over the next week.

Sheffield United (or any of the potential seventh place finishers) may not find out its European fate until after the F.A. Cup Final, since an Arsenal win would give the Gunners a spot in the Europa League. But expect the Blades to give it their best shot over the next two matches, and let the chips fall where they may.
