Premier League Wednesday: Miller picks Wolverhampton vs Bournemouth with 3 plays

Will Wolverhampton make UEFA Champions League? These next two months will be the decider. Match time is 1 pm EDT.

Much like Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers have two chances to make next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Both are still alive in the UEFA Europa League, although United is in much better shape, up 5-0 after the first leg of the Round of 16, while Wolves are even 1-1 in its tie. If either team wins that competition in August, it will be in the Champions League Group Stage draw.

But a top four (and maybe top five) finish in the Premier League will do it as well. Both teams are even on points with 46, with United ahead on goal difference. Both also have very manageable run-ins, and can start racking up the points, possibly catching Chelsea along the way for fourth. In fact, if Manchester City gets banned from the Champions League, it is not inconceivable that both Manchester United and Wolverhampton are representing England next season in the tournament.

Wolves get a struggling Bournemouth side Wednesday, and even with the small squad, should be able to get past the Cherries and keep its top five hopes alive.
