Saturday Morning Soccer - Premier League, Southampton vs. Newcastle United, Wolverhampton vs. Brighton

Wolverhampton is rolling right now, sitting in sixth place, and tied on points with fifth place Manchester United.

For Brighton & Hove Albion, though, the picture is much less rosy. The Seagulls have dove into the relegation mess, and come into Saturday just one point outside the bottom three, albeit with a much better goal difference.

Brighton plays good football, but in a relegation scrap, sometimes teams just have to find a way to get a point. I don't see that today on the road at the Molineux, which is as tough a place to go in the Premier League as any stadium.

Southampton was off midweek, while Newcastle United had a tough match in the F.A. Cup, advancing to the quarterfinals with a 3-2 win over West Brom. But that extra exertion could prove costly today. Look for the Saints to keep marching in to safety, and up the table.
