Saturday BoopProps - Union at FC Dallas
So the Philadelphia Union kicks off its 11th MLS season Saturday night at FC Dallas and while we aren’t really soccer people – although some of our best friends are – we thought we’d jump right in to the deep end with some Player Prop Bets.
> Striker Kacper Przybylko on Friday agreed to a contract extension through the 2023 season. He led the team with 15 goals last season, but it took him until the ninth game to break the ice.
New contract. New season. First goal?
> Captain Alejandro Bedoya had the game-winning game in added time (92+) in the Union’s only match-up with FC Dallas last season.
No matter the sport, you always expect the captain to set the trend early.
> If you are going to bet soccer, you should always keep your eye out for the guy with only one name. Ilsinho has just that, as well as the assist on that Bedoya game-winning game last season.
One of our soccer people refer to him as “Instant Offense”. What is more “Instant” than scoring the first goal of the season?
Who knows, if this goes well, we may even dabble in some more Union action again even before the playoffs in October . . .
