Champions League pick: Lyon vs Juventus — Is this the season Cristiano Ronaldo and the Juves finally breakthrough in the Champions League?

For years, Juventus has been knocking on the door of UEFA Champions League glory. It lost in the 2015 and 2017 finals, and comes into the 2020 knockout stages with another good chance to make a run.

It starts in Lyon Wednesday, with the round of 16. Juventus will be led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been in blistering form since the beginning of December with 19 goals. But the Italian side has quality throughout, and will be more the Ronaldo.

"Cristiano is a great professional but we don't have an anti-Ronaldo plan," Lyon Manager Rudi Garcia said. "They are a complete team and we have to solve the problems collectively. We really want to do something and our players are very motivated. We will try to cause Juventus problems and we will still need our 12th man at the Groupama Stadium."

Lyon have never beaten Juventus in European play, and the Italian side will want to keep it that way.
