Soccer Friday European picks: FC Porto vs S.C. Braga, Sporting Lisbon vs Benfica, and KV Mechelen vs Standard de Liège

According to Amargão Futebol (@Amargaofutebol) and other sources around the world of football, Bruno Fernandes will sign with Manchester United this weekend.

But he will play one final match for his beloved Sporting Clube de Portugal Friday afternoon, and it is a big one.

Sporting will host Benfica, in a battle of Lisbon teams (with stadiums a long free kick away from each other) that could also help determine the eventual Primeira Liga champion. While Sporting comes in as the underdog at home, look for Fernandes to make his presence known in the game, and maybe score a goal or two as a goodbye present for his team and fans against their hated rivals.
