MANCHESTER, UK — What is going on with Manchester City?

While all the press has gone with the disaster on the red half of the city, the Cityzens have all but capitulated in the Premier League race, falling 11 points behind Liverpool (and three behind Leicester City) in the table. As the song Manchester United fans sing (originally about Chelsea), "And you'll never win three in a row."

United looks to remain the only Premier League era team to win three consecutive championships, a feat the Red Devils accomplished twice (1998-99, 1999-2000, 2000-01 and 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09).

If Manchester City is going to join them, it will have to start finding ways to win matches. This game Tuesday should be a straight forward victory, but at this point, the Cityzens are tough to read. They had the win in the bag Saturday, only to throw it away late.

Expect the City squad to come out blazing Tuesday night.
