Soccer Wednesday - Miller Picks Women’s World Cup, Netherlands v Sweden; Copa America, Chile v Peru; Gold Cup, Jamaica v United States

I was there for the Gold Cup quarterfinals in Philadelphia Sunday night to watch both teams win 1-0 matches, and the American side should win this, but there is some bad news for fans of this United States team . . . It is not very good. The American side is currently 30th in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings, and that seems high. Right now, this team is nowhere near competitive enough to do anything at the 2022 World Cup. But Jamaica is not good either, so expect another lackluster win from the USA.

At the Women's World Cup, the impressive Netherlands team will continue its quest to win its first title, with a win over Sweden. The winner will face the USA Sunday.

Finally, at the Copa America, the Chilean side is 90 minutes away from a chance to win its third straight title, and will not let Peru stand in its way.
