Soccer Saturday - Miller Picks Women’s World Cup, African Cup of Nations, Copa America, CONCACAF Gold Cup, United States, Germany, Brazil

At the Women's World Cup, it gets real today.

There is no more margin for error. Any mistake could end a nation's campaign in a flash. For two teams, Saturday will bring an end to their hopes of winning a title. Germany should not be one of those two, however, and should continue its tournament with a win over Nigeria in the Round of 16.

The other match at the WWC looks to be too close to call, but Australia may just find a way to advance.

At the African Cup of Nations, Nigeria will take the pitch in a quest to win a wide-open tournament, and should take care of Burundi.

The Copa America begins the final group stage matches, as two simultaneous matches take place. Venezuela will hope it can beat Bolivia while Brazil takes care of Peru. That scenario would mean Venezuela advances to the quarterfinals.

Brazil will hope it can win beautifully, so it is not booed off the pitch again like after the last game. Expect the Selecao to put on a show today.

Finally, the United States takes the field at the Gold Cup against Trinidad & Tobago. Ask any fan of the Americans how they feel about T&T, and it will probably solicit flashbacks to October of 2017. But hey, the 2018 World Cup did not really need you anyway America; it ended up as the best World Cup in history without the USA team.

Coincidence? Ah, we jest (maybe). But the American side will probably want to make an example tonight, and have that opportunity.
